"The final test of a gentleman is his respect for those who can be of no possible service to him." - William Lyon Phelps
Gentleman Pursuits

“Manners Maketh Man.” A quote originated from Mr. William Horman, describing how manners are the core value of a gentleman. I couldn’t agree more. However, being a TRUE gentleman is much greater than just paying attention to your etiquettes.

A gentleman is forever on a quest to learn, and indulge in activities that would enrich his personality. Modern man has lost touch with the finer things in life, one needs to break away from the busy routine and reconnect with the value that every man should strive to embody.

It is easy to walk into a bar and order whatever with the intention to get drunk. It is also easy for ordinary men to say “I love watches” when in fact they know nothing about horology. Mastering the art of whisky tasting and watch appreciation takes time and I don’t expect it to be a short time either.

I hope everyone will one day, just like me, not treating them like any other hobbies, but seeing them as gentleman pursuits.

This is only possible if the gentleman takes a deep dive into the sea of knowledge, are you ready to be one of them?
